In May 2007, The Prevention and Combating of Corruption Bureau (PCCB) launched a special campaign of establishing Anti Corruption Clubs. Director General of PCCB Dr. Edward G. Hoseah marked the campaign by launching  Makongo Secondary School Anti- Corruption Club in Dar es Salaam. The priority has been on the establishment of Anti-Corruption Clubs in secondary schools with the aim of inculcating into the youths the spirit of abhorring and fighting corruption.
The expectation here is that the knowledge gained shall make youths hate, prevent and fight corruption by educating their peers, families and communities. The Bureau is lobbying for the improvement of the content of the current lesson on corruption and ethics.
In Anti Corruption Clubs, club members meet and discuss corruption issues. To enhance such, among other activities, clubs members conduct different activities such as debates, concerts, drama, poem writing, cartoon drawing and prepare songs on corruption. Until September, 2010 a total of 3,850 anti-corruption clubs with 257,339 members have been established.
